Short Bio and Research Interests.
I earned my Doctoral degree in Economics from
the Pennsylvania State University in August 2010. On my way to
PhD I got Masters Degree in Economic Theory from
New Economic
School (2003) and Specialist Degree in Economics (BA + 1 year) from
the State (Academic) University of Social Sciences in Moscow. I also
held highly respected Russian Candidate of Science Degree in
Economics, which I was awarded by
Central Economics and Mathematics
Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences in January of 2005.
Besides building up my education I worked as a researcher
(consultant) in a number of leading research organizations (e.g. The
World Bank) and as intern in the leading private sector economic
consulting company (Bates White LLC, Washington, DC).
My choice of educational and employment institutions is mainly defined
by my research interests: International Trade, Labor,
Development Economics and topics in the Industrial Organization.
Beyond economics, photography is my major hobby and you can find some
of my photos from different countries and continents in the personal
section of this web-site!
